Water Damage, Vernon Hills

A washing machine that was located in the upstairs of a Vernon Hills, IL home caused water damage. The homeowner began by trying to use towels to assist in soaking up the water. Unfortunately, water seeks equilibrium and travels everywhere! The drywall and the padding underneath the carpet absorbs the water. Water extraction from the carpet and padding is the first step, and the second step is seeing how far up the damage has affected the walls and where else the water may have migrated. In the after picture, you can see that we had to remove drywall that had become saturated with water, and in subsequent pictures you will see that the downstairs kitchen, living room, and bathrooms also had experience water damage from this single incident.
